No cookies. No analytics. No third-party requests. I advise boards on data protection, so it would be odd to run a tracker on my own site.
Nothing that watches you. This site sets no cookies and writes nothing to local or session storage. There is no analytics script, no tag manager, no pixel, no heatmap, no session recorder, no embedded video or social widget.
It previously carried a first-party analytics script that counted page views and derived country from IP address. I removed it. If you looked at this page before and it felt inconsistent with what I write about, you were right.
The fonts are self-hosted. Most sites load typefaces from Google's CDN, which sends your IP address to Google before you have agreed to anything. A German court fined a site owner over exactly that in 2022. The font files here come from this domain, so your IP never reaches Google.
I will not pretend this is zero. Like every web server, the host keeps standard access logs: IP address, timestamp, the page requested, and your browser's user-agent string. These exist so the site can be operated and defended, they are not linked to you as a person, and I do not analyse them.
My hosting provider processes those logs on my behalf, under contract, and does nothing else with them.
There is no contact form on this site, deliberately. If you write to me@sarfarazchougule.com, I keep your message and address for as long as the conversation is useful, and then I do not.
Your email goes nowhere else. No CRM, no mailing list, no automation, no sharing with anyone. There is no newsletter to unsubscribe from because there is no newsletter.
Under the GDPR, India's DPDP Act and most comparable regimes, you can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I will answer personally, in days rather than the statutory month.
Given that I collect nothing beyond the emails you choose to send me, the answer is usually short.
